Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it take to get my costume?
Orders are usually completed in 8-10 weeks, but this can vary with the time of the year. Spring is our busiest season, as almost all of the state competitions are in the late spring/early summer. Through the spring, we work by competition date, and will give you a shipping date at the time of your deposit.
Rush orders may be available for an extra charge, lease inquire with your competition date.
How will I see the design?
Trish will send sketches by email for your approval. Revisions and Re-sketches are completed, and any concerns should be addressed during this approval process.
How do I know the costume I order will fit?
The fit of your costume is guaranteed. Once you approve your design, we will mail you a fitting leotard and set up a time to Facetime, Zoom, or Skype to complete the measurements. During this meeting, we will walk you through taking the measurements step-by-step, so you can be confident that you are doing it correctly and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions or raise any concerns about how your costume will fit.
How do I get measured, we're not even in the same state!?
We will send you a fitting leotard, which our patterns are based upon. We will personally go through the process of measuring with you over FaceTime, Zoom, or Skype. And during this time, we will go over needed adjustments to the basic pattern and any requests about how the costume fits.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept payments through Venmo and Paypal. Paypal accepts all major credit cards and e-checks. Other payment arrangements may be made by contacting us.
What if my costume arrives and it doesn't fit?
Fit issues are very uncommon. However, if there is any issue, we do guarantee our costumes and will make any adjustments needed. It is your responsibility to report any issues with the costume by phone or email immediately. We will then set up a FaceTime or Zoom meeting to discuss alterations necessary. The costume must be returned to Togatae Designs within 20 days of receiving the costume and be returned in clean and good condition. We will then make the adjustments and ship to you.
How much will my costume cost?
All of our costumes are unique and priced individually.
Cost varies based on the complexity of the design, fabric selections, and size/quantity/style of beading. Our costumes are designed and constructed to compare to the finest pageant gowns.
All costumes are fully lined through the crotch and have bra cups.
Costume pricing starts at $600, with the average cost being about $750-950
How will my costume be shipped?
Your costume will be shipped by US Postal Service Express Mail and will be insured for the full amount of the costume. Because of the insurance, you will need to sign for the package. If you would prefer to ship by another carrier, please contact us to discuss options and costs.
